Meet the DCP-802
A dual 400G/800G transponder purpose-built for scalable and cost-efficient 800ZR networking
Designed for smart, scalable 800G networking
The DCP-802 unlocks the full potential of 800ZR in a compact, power-efficient form factor. Built for next-generation optical networks, it delivers the breakout, flexibility and performance needed to simplify scaling and lower cost per bit.
Maximize fiber utilization and flexibility
On the client side, the DCP-802 can break out a single 800G connection into 2×400G or 8×100G links – enabling better fiber utilization, extended port life and seamless integration. In transponder mode, gray client signals are converted to coherent DWDM for optimized performance. Two client ports support a flexible range of QSFP-DD and OSFP optics, allowing you to tailor deployments to your network architecture.
Tailor performance to your network needs
On the line side, the DCP-802 supports coherent DWDM 800G and 400G modulation formats for high-capacity, long-distance transport. Programmable line rates from 100G to 800G in small increments, enabled by dynamic modulation and constellation shaping, let you fine-tune reach and capacity. And when security is a priority, optional Layer 1 encryption secures data in transit easily and effectively.
Purpose-built for 800G network use cases
Compact, adaptable and designed to help you get more out of 800G
Maximize 800G switch/router capacity
Break out 800G links to integrate directly with 100G and 400G systems – simplifying scaling and expanding connectivity options without forklift upgrades.
Extend lifespan of 100G/400G switches/routers
Support older port types by breaking out a single 800G interface into up to 8×100G connections – boosting capacity while preserving existing infrastructure.
Convert gray client signals to DWDM
Use transponder mode to convert 100G, 400G or 800G gray client signals to coherent DWDM – enabling extended reach and higher performance.
Monitor and verify with built-in demarcation
Use the DCP-802’s demarcation point with integrated performance monitoring to ensure quality of service, verify signals and simplify troubleshooting.
