DCP-802_front_3.2_(1050×700)

Product information

The DCP-802 offers a cost-efficient solution for 100G, 400G and 800G transport in a small form factor with low power consumption and low latency. It has two individual transponders on the same card. Each transponder can be used in 400G or 800G mode on the line side. For the client side it is possible to use 400G or 800G in transponder mode or 8x100G or 2x400G in breakout mode.

The DCP-802 is designed to handle three main use cases, one is to convert from grey 400/800G optics to DWDM, one where it is required to have demarcation point for signal hand-off and one where the unit is used for aggregation of 100/400G to 800G. The first case is valid when it is not possible to put coherent DWDM 400G or 800G QSFP-DDs embedded in switches and routers. For the second case the transponder offers a demarcation point where it is possible to measure performance data before handing off the signal to another system. In both cases, the transponder mode is used on DCP-802.
